IDK I feel like because the drama was only 8 eps they had to rush everything. How could Hye Soo just get up and move when her dad's in prison?
I'm not sure I understand what happened even. It's a slice of life drama but I feel like a couple of more eps could have really improved the overall progression of the drama. Also why introduce the private lives of the teachers and other characters if u're only gonna bring it up like twice? Overall I'd say it's a good drama that could have been much better. Dads Dating Their Girls Generation 1979 Asianwiki Parent Thread Link. I really liked this drama. Just the perfect thing to watch after the end of School I wish it were a little longer, but I'm pretty happy with the pacing given the time the writers had.
I cried quite a bit during the finale. I love the mom, the dad can go choke, goodbye forever jin oppa, i hope u live a happy life ahjussi, the slow burn romance between junghee and dongmoon was so cute and ended perfectly, haesoo and junghee's friendship is magic. Thanks to OP and keytfelt for streaming the show with me. That was really fun!

GIRLS' GENERATION 1979 eps. 1 & 2 discussion post
I loved the mom character, the aunt had me feeling so conflicted the entire series, dohee did a wonderful job as the "school bully", the dad was a piece of work, the brother was hilarious, dongmoon was a saint for putting up with everything. There should have been more story to her dad and the guy that was living with them Edited at I enjoyed it and like everyone else I think it should of been at least 10 to 12 episodes I feel like the wrapped up to fast.
But that being said it was still a good ending.

I liked all of the main characters except the Jung Hee and Jin's Dad's they were the worst. Also the head of the school he wasn't nice either. I teared up a little at the end with Hae Joo leaving school.

Dong Moon was a great character, he made me smile, and feel sad for and was just happy for him at the end. I think he will have his hands full but still it was a good ending. This was such a cute show, I really loved watching it. I wish there was more episodes because there was definitely more story to tell and I wish that Jung Hee's friends had any storylines at all, but I'm very happy with the story we did get, it was satisfying while still leaving me wanting more.
First off, the clothes were great. There were so many times I wanted the outfits the girls were wearing.
And the school uniforms were so cute! I loved Jin falling for her and getting rejected lol. I'm petty like that. I loved how food never tasted good with Jin and did with Dong Moon. I was so heartbroken when Jung Hee didn't show up at the theater and he was crying, they really tricked me with that one.
I'm happy they ended up together and Jin ended up alone.
I still feel icky about the age difference between Young Choon and Hae Joo she's underage! I laughed when he pulled out the flower necklace, I like to believe he spent hours weaving that for her. I was so sad when she got expelled but it did give us the great scene with Jung Hee talking over the loudspeaker and we got the OTP montage of the two of them.
I am glad they ended up with a strong friendship and helped each other out. Hae Joo just rolled into town, snatched up the town crush and rode away with him.

The dad is completely scum, I felt so bad for the mom. Bong Soo was a fun character and I really liked the PE teacher lady, she cracks me up in any drama she's in.
I enjoy discovering new actors through youth dramas like this and I'm really looking forward to seeing Seo Young Joo Dong Moon in future dramas. All in all, I really really enjoyed this show.
I'd love more short dramas like this one in the future.
